About AUNG
As a native Burmese speaker and an educator currently serving within the CUNY Tutor Corps, I bridge the gap between cultural authenticity and academic excellence. My approach is grounded in the belief that language is a tool for connection, and mastery requires both discipline and empathy.

"Teaching Method and Techniques"
My teaching philosophy is built on the Socratic Method and Active Learning. Rather than just lecturing, I guide students to discover answers themselves through targeted questioning. This ensures that the student isn't just a passive listener but an active participant in their own growth.
Scaffolding: I break down complex concepts into manageable "micro-steps," ensuring a solid foundation before moving to advanced topics.
The "I Do, We Do, You Do" Model: I demonstrate the concept, we practice together, and then the student performs the task independently to build confidence.

A standard 60-minute session is structured to maximize engagement and retention:
The Hook (5 mins): A brief review of the previous lesson or a "warm-up" challenge to get the brain in gear.
