About Gio
Ciao! My name is Giovanna and I am a native Italian speaker currently living in England, where I have been based for almost 10 years. Living abroad has helped me become fluent in English and understand the challenges English speakers face when learning Italian.
I have a professional background in hospitality management and customer service, working closely with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
I am now starting my journey as an online Italian tutor, combining my communication skills, passion for languages, and love for Italian culture.
I enjoy creating relaxed and practical lessons focused on real-life Italian, helping students feel confident speaking from the beginning. My lessons are especially suitable for beginners who want to learn Italian for travel, conversation, or personal interest.

My lessons are designed for beginners who want to learn real, practical Italian in a relaxed and supportive environment. I focus on helping students build confidence step by step through grammar, conversation, pronunciation, and everyday expressions that Italians actually use.
Each lesson is usually 1 hour long and combines:
- basic grammar explained clearly in English,
speaking and conversation practice,
- useful vocabulary for travelling and daily situations,
- pronunciation and listening exercises.
I like to adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace and goals, making lessons interactive and enjoyable rather than too academic. My aim is to help students start communicating in Italian from the very beginning.
I am a native Italian speaker, graduated, and I have been living in England for almost 10 years, which allows me to understand both Italian and English language structures and explain them in a simple way. I am currently starting my career as an online tutor and I am passionate about helping learners discover the Italian language and culture with confidence.
My lessons are ideal for:
