About the lesson

Hello! I’m a native Chinese speaker (accent neutral) based in Paris for over 11 years, with 20+ years of professional experience, including 15 years in business development and 5 years as a language teacher. I've worked closely with North American companies, and I bring a global, multicultural perspective to every lesson.

As the founder of Hancius Institute, I personally teach students, train future teachers and professionals. My approach blends Simplified and Traditional Chinese, helping you understand how Chinese language and culture vary across regions like Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, and more.

My teaching is personalized, practical, and interactive:
* Focus on speaking and listening, starting with consonants and vowels, not so strict with tones as it will be refined as learning evolves
* Learn 10 words per lesson, 200+ in 20 sessions
* Custom PowerPoint notes to track your progress
* Fun activities: songs, poems, flashcards, games
* Prepare for HSK, TOCFL, AP Chinese, SAT Chinese, or use Chinese in real life

You’ll not only learn to speak and read Chinese but also gain cultural awareness to confidently connect with Chinese-speaking communities around the world.

Let’s make your Chinese journey both joyful and global!
I recommend 50 minutes per lesson — just the right amount of time to stay focused, learn effectively, and enjoy every moment.
