About Giuliana

Hi! I’m Giuliana. I’m originally from the U.S. but have had the wonderful opportunity to live and travel all around the world. My goal as an English tutor is to make learning both accessible and enjoyable for everyone, no matter their background or level. Before becoming a teacher, I worked for many years in international development and foreign aid, which inspired my passion for cultural exchange and communication across borders. Those experiences taught me how meaningful it is to connect through language and to learn from people with different perspectives. I’ve worked with learners of all ages and from many different countries, and I love helping students gain confidence in their English skills while enjoying the learning process. I’m also a language student myself—I’m currently studying Spanish and French—so I understand the challenges (and rewards!) of learning a new language firsthand. When I’m not teaching, you’ll probably find me exploring new places, playing volleyball, or learning a language.

About the lesson

I recently earned my TEFL certification (140-hour course), where I gained both theoretical and practical training in teaching English as a foreign language. I also have classroom teaching experience working with students of all ages and proficiency levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners.

My teaching methodology focuses on student-centered learning—I make sure each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, interests, and learning style. I prioritize giving students maximum speaking time, helping them build confidence and fluency through real communication and interactive activities. My lessons combine grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation practice with engaging discussions and practical use of language.

Above all, my goal is to ensure that every student feels supported, motivated, and equipped to reach their English learning goals.
