About Shubham

I have been teaching and prepping students for JEE Advanced and Mains for over 3 years now. Some of them have produced really good result in the past. Even after students finished my course, they would still reach out to me and I am always happy to help. Physics has been my strong subject all along and that's what I aim to teach my students. Recently graduated from IIT Delhi with a B Tech in Chemical Engineering.

Since I recently cleared JEE Advanced, I can really understand what problems students face when preparing for JEE. There are so many resources and options that we always get confused, where to look exactly. Not everyone can go to coaching and even if we do, not all of us can ask all our doubts to the faculty in front of the whole class. I have realized that one on one interaction is really helpful and key to a good preparation where you can ask your doubts freely. Since faculty are super busy and often we are shy to ask some easy doubts, that's why I have found it is really beneficial to ask doubt from someone closer to your age who would better understand you.
Also I believe, the most important step in any preparation is believing in own self, so I always try to keep the temperament positive and make the student believe in himself/herself
I like to engage students in a discussion and clear their doubts. I love tutoring

  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

Well Maths and Science has always fascinated me since I was a kid, I loved to read and I used to fill myself up with amazing facts about the world but I really found interest during 9th standard. It's when science and mathematics really started to get intense and understanding how everything fit together to dictate the laws of the universe really blew my mind.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

What motivates me to teach is sharing my knowledge with the students. I like it because it gives me a great deal of satisfaction as whatever I have learned is not limited to me only it becomes a part of my students' learning as well. I like to pass on my knowledge as much as it is possible because knowledge should not be kept under a cage it should be passed on like a wind.Having gone through the journey myself recently, I can really understand what problems students face when preparing for JEE.
  • How does your work help society?

Doing my part to help students get the opportunity to study in the college of their dreams. A good college is really a building block of one's journey. It doesn't mean if one fails to get the college he/she was trying for would not amount to anything, this is not the case. One always finds a way to come out on the top with enough perseverance and practice. But college does play a significant role in shaping your personality and which lens you see the world.
Education is the social institution through which society provides its members with important knowledge, including basic facts, job skills, and cultural norms values.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

From my school to my college and then professional experience, I had pleasant experiences with Parents, Teachers, friends so it's not just one but many people over the years who have inspired me and I have learned a lot from them.

The reason these personalities are my role model because I have learned from each and every one of these personalities, they are a great asset for what I am today.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

I like to spend my time reading non-fiction novels mostly. I also enjoy traveling and hiking, playing badminton, table tennis.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

I would share something that is more relevant. During a class with one of my student, the student shared with me that he was really going through a very tough phase with so much pressure and how it was affecting his life for a long time. Due to the pressure, he wasn't able to perform well at all and this really worried him. So that's why he was looking for online classes to get a better understanding and he requested a class with me. So he shared that he really enjoyed the classes with me and he feels less pressured. When he shared all that with me and how I was able to help him ease his tension and be cheerful while learning, that feeling was very heartening. Things like these make me teach more and more students and help whoever I can.
