About Charlotte
I am a guitar instructor with over 9 years of experience specialising in group classes and workshops, both online and offline. My teaching philosophy centres on collaboration, creativity, and building a strong musical community. I believe every student should feel supported while exploring their individual strengths. In group settings, I balance personal attention with collective learning to ensure everyone progresses. I have extensive experience guiding students from Elementary to Advanced levels. Ensemble playing, jam sessions, and arranging music for group dynamics are key components of my lessons. Students learn not only technique but also how to listen, adapt, and harmonise with others. I encourage creativity through improvisation and composition within a supportive environment. Lessons are structured yet flexible, allowing each student to grow at their own pace. I cover classical, jazz, acoustic, electric, and bass styles with an emphasis on practical application. Fingerstyle techniques and intricate picking patterns are explored in detail to develop precision and musicality. I also guide students in recording skills, live looping, and layering techniques to create polished tracks. Performance refinement is a key part of my approach, helping students present confidently on stage or online. I encourage composing and arranging music to express personal style. Lessons integrate theory with hands-on practice, ensuring understanding and skill development. I provide guidance on producing content for social media while maintaining authentic musical expression. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, inspiring passion and consistency. By the end of each session, students gain confidence, creativity, and the tools to excel in their music journey.
