About Leah
I specialize in teaching Electric, Acoustic, Classical, Bass, and Jazz Guitar. My lessons focus on improvisation, chord voicings, theory application, and songwriting to help students develop a deep understanding of music. My teaching approach is designed to help every student develop both skill and passion for the guitar. I focus on building a strong foundation in technique, including finger placement, strumming, and picking patterns. Lessons include ear training to help students recognize chords, melodies, and improvisation opportunities. I integrate music theory so learners understand how scales, chords, and progressions function in real music.
Performance coaching is an essential part of my methodology, helping students gain confidence and express themselves on stage or in recordings. I use personalized instruction tailored to each student’s goals, whether they wish to explore jazz, rock, or acoustic styles. Modern tools like DAWs, amp simulators, and metronome apps are incorporated to enhance practice and creativity.
I encourage experimentation with improvisation, composition, and arranging original music. Lessons are engaging, structured, and adaptable to individual learning styles. I support students at every level, challenging them while celebrating their progress. My ultimate goal is to help learners grow into confident, versatile guitarists who love playing music and can express themselves freely.
