About Emily
Hello! My name is Emily, and I am a native Mandarin speaker from Harbin, China, currently living in the UK. I hold a Master's degree from Loughborough University and have experience teaching Mandarin to English-speaking students, including over 120 hours of one-to-one online tutoring.
Having lived, studied, and worked across different cultures, I understand both the challenges and joys of learning a new language. As someone who speaks Mandarin and English fluently, I can explain concepts clearly and adapt lessons to different learning styles and goals.
Outside of teaching, I have a background in design and performing arts. I enjoy creating a relaxed and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and building confidence.
