About August
I am a piano tutor with 9 years of teaching experience and a passion for both composing and performing music. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Studies, which has provided me with a strong foundation in technique, theory, and musical expression. I believe music is a lifelong journey, and I aim to inspire my students to enjoy every step of that path. I work with both beginners and advanced musicians, tailoring lessons to each student’s goals and skill level. My teaching blends technical skill-building with creativity, improvisation, and expressive performance. I encourage students to explore different genres, from classical to jazz, pop, and contemporary styles. As a performer and composer, I bring real-world experience into my lessons, showing students how music comes alive beyond the page. I focus on developing confidence, musicality, and a personal connection to the piano. My approach emphasizes patience, consistency, and joy in learning. I love helping students discover their unique sound while mastering technique and theory. Every lesson is interactive, engaging, and designed to nurture a lasting passion for music.
