About Andre
As part of my Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, I took several courses in music education, and I’ve applied those skills in years of private teaching since then. I’ve performed professionally for the last decade, playing a variety of styles in venues such as the Fillmore (SF), Brooklyn Steel (NYC), and dozens more! I’ve won numerous awards, including the Jazz Education Network’s Outstanding Performance Award!

I tailor lesson plans to the needs of each student at each point in time. From learning to read music to advanced musical-theoretical concepts, and from a student’s first steps on the piano to more advanced pieces, I like to keep a student’s skill set well-rounded, but focused on the style/s of music that they’re passionate about. I’ve performed primarily jazz and jazz-adjacent music, but am well-versed in classical music as well as in many other genres!
