About Charlotte
I am a piano tutor with over 9 years of experience teaching both in-person and online, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Piano Emphasis. My teaching philosophy is learner-centered, focusing on active participation, expressive playing, and the development of comprehensive musicianship.

My teaching approach is designed for students preparing performances, competitions, or recordings. I focus on building strong fundamentals in posture, finger technique, and phrasing to ensure clarity and expression in every piece. Stage presence is just as important as playing, so we practice performance strategies to convey confidence and emotion.
For students working on recordings, I introduce digital tools like DAWs and audio analysis apps to refine timing, dynamics, and tone. Lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s goals, combining technical precision with musical expression.
I provide guidance that helps students excel in exams, public performances, or ensemble settings. We break down challenging pieces into manageable sections and develop strategies to overcome performance anxiety.
You’ll also learn how to interpret music authentically, balancing technical skill with artistic expression. I encourage consistent practice while making lessons engaging and motivating. By the end, students gain confidence, polish, and the tools to perform at their best in any setting.
