About Oriana

I’m a professional singer-songwriter and an award-winning independent artist with a music bachelor from Berklee College of Music. I am an experienced music tutor at inclusive music organisations in Scotland such as Paragon Music, Hear My Music, The Sound Lab and The Scottish Music Centre.

My teaching style is inspired on the Estill Vocal Technique as well as my own style I have developed through the years and my experience in the music industry. I have experience leading music production workshops at music universities as well as leading inclusive music sessions for people with autism, disabilities and other support needs.

I am also a freelance private tutor and I deeply enjoy sharing with students of all ages and backgrounds the knowledge I acquired from Berklee College of Music and my career experience in America, Latin America, New Zealand and now Scotland.

I do online and in person lesson at my home studio in the East End of Glasgow. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Every lesson plan is personalised to fit my students' interests, goals, level of commitment and time outside the lessons. Student reviews mention I am patient, enthusiastic, encouraging, and passionate about teaching and that they have improved their singing from the first few lessons. Besides singing and vocal coaching I offer my singing students songwriting, performance skills, and self-accompaniment lessons to complement their journey of becoming a fully fleshed musician. BEGINNER LESSONS - For students with little to no experience singing or receiving lessons. Their goals may include matching pitch and follow rhythm, developing your ear, strengthening your core and breathing, learn to use your diaphragm, protecting without straining, having a clear vocal tone, learning different vocal styles (of your interest), and choosing repertoire that suits your range and skill level. I recommend at 1 hour a week consistently.

INTERMEDIATE LESSONS - For students with medium experience singing and are self-taught. Goals may include singing as a hobby, joining a choir or a band: Intermediate students will build on beginner lessons plus learn vocal projection, vocal health, belting, expand on their vocal textures and dynamics, tone consistency, following a track or live musicians, and instrument-voice coordination (upon request). Students choose the repertoire and need help developing their vocal identity. I recommend at least 1 hour a week consistently.

ADVANCED LESSONS - For students with a clear vocal identity and tone, may be interested in starting a career as a singer: Advanced students will build on intermediate lessons plus receive vocal coaching (upon request), learn to sing harmonies, learn to use gear i.e. singing through a microphone on stage v recording (upon request), learn about performance skills, leading a band and songwriting (upon request). Students choose the repertoire and style, and have clear goals. I recommend at least 1 hour session consistently but can be weekly or bi-weekly.

------------------------- ☆CURRICULUM: *Note: "Standard Singing Lessons" focus on covering essential techniques for singing (i.e. staying in tune and rhythm, keeping up with accompanying musicians and tracks, etc.) and developing the student's ear. Usually fits those with little to no musical background and/or with non-academic purposes. (let's say, music is your hobby or passion but not your long term career goal.) "Coaching" is typically fit for students with experience and particular goals in mind, like preparation for entering music school/academy, enter a singing contest, or simply perform on a stage in front of an audience rather than karaoke nights only.
