About Marta
Hi all!
I'm Marta Mogica, a Spanish Teacher based in Edinburgh. I've been teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language since I discovered that I loved to teach. I've always knew that I wanted to teach, children and adults, but I didn't know that teaching Spanish was going to make me so happy. I've studied Spanish Language and Literature in University of Murcia and I've done courses of Cervantes Institute to improve my teaching skills. I collaborate with Nebrija University too to talk about their courses and nowadays I've got 7 students that are everything to me! I tried everyday to do my best with them and I think that If you're wondering how would you choose me, you are not going to be dissapointed. So take a coffee and let's start this!

Hi guys!
A bit of my journey as a teacher...
When I finished the career I was so excited to taste and proof the knowledge that I've learnt and to take it to the action. In this time you realized that the theory is different to the practice... I usually made all my material resources trying to make that every single person feels motivated at class and attentive.
My methology,
At this point, I usually make a research with the students about what do they want to learn, what they're trying to find learning Spanish, and of course, what are they willing to try and learn new things. So usually it depends very much on the person. If I'm teaching a child, depending on the age, I'll use more attractive activities and games to make them develop new skills and make them feel comfortable with the language. If I'm teaching an adult, it'll always depend on what they're looking for, but I'll always try to have a schedule for them, based on the needs they have, and adapting the activities and resources to their interests. That's how it works! :)
At this job, every day can be different, we don't always have the same attitude, and of course as a teacher you must be ready for it. There are going to be moments that they feel exhausted or tired, and you have to rise them up and make the lesson desirable to them. We're here to have fun come oooon!
