About Sowmya R
I am a practicing visual artist, college professor, and recipient of the Woman of Chennai award for Creative Education. My personal art practice bridges deep historical research including multi-year illustration series dedicated to classical Tamil heritage with contemporary digital design. By learning with me, you aren't just getting theory; you are gaining insights from an artist actively preparing for global exhibitions, teaching you exactly how to transform rich concepts into striking, professional-grade visual realities.

Drawing isn’t just an inherent talent...it is a learnable visual language. In this class, we strip away the intimidation of the blank page and focus on the core fundamentals: line, proportion, perspective, and form. Combining academic precision with a relaxed, creative environment, my method ensures you don’t just copy images, but actually learn to observe the world like a professional visual artist.
