About Luis
I'm Luis Melendez and I've been playing guitar since I was 15 or 16, now I'm 35.
Like many others, I started my path on the guitar on my own, asking for tips, reading books, watching videos, etc., but what really made a difference in my learning process was taking lessons with someone who had a teaching methodology, and even though at this moment I don't continue taking classes, I keep learning on my own thanks to that methodology, and I'm sure you can benefit from it too.
I invested in my musical training learning from musicians who work in the music industry, so you can be sure that what you will learn from me are resources that professional guitarists use nowadays, with a simple and functional language.
As additional information, I worked as a language teacher for almost 8 years. I can speak English, French and Spanish (my mother tongue).

I am passionate about music and I really enjoy teaching!
My teaching methodology is based on understanding and developing the student's skills through the practice.
During lessons, you will not only learn to develop the technique you need for playing, but you will also understand what you are performing through musical theory. Theory that will complement and not accumulate information that you don't need.
