About Drp
I am a Pathology specialist and medical educator with over 22 years of experience teaching and training medical students. My background spans both university faculty teaching and private tutoring, and throughout that time, one thing has remained constant: a genuine passion for making pathology click for students who are preparing for one of the most important exams of their medical careers.
I completed my MBBS and went on to specialize in Pathology, which means I bring both deep clinical knowledge and real academic teaching experience to every session. I know this subject inside and out — not just the facts, but the way Step 1 tests it, the traps students fall into, and the conceptual shortcuts that make complex disease processes genuinely understandable.
Over more than two decades, I have worked with hundreds of medical students at every stage — those preparing confidently for their first attempt, those who need to significantly improve their scores, and those who have faced setbacks and need to rebuild both their knowledge and their confidence. Every one of those students matters to me equally.
I believe great teaching is not about transferring information. It is about changing the way a student thinks. When a student leaves my session understanding why a disease behaves the way it does — not just what it is called — that is when real progress happens.
Outside of teaching, I stay current with medical literature and pathology advances, which keeps my sessions grounded in both exam relevance and real clinical understanding.

I teach pathology the right way for Step 1: mechanisms and reasoning, not memorization. That is what the exam actually tests, and it is what separates students who pass from students who score well.
In each session we:
— Review your recent practice question errors in pathology
— Break down the underlying disease mechanisms clearly and memorably
— Work through high-yield questions with full reasoning
— Build a plan for what to tackle before the next session
I offer 1-on-1 and small group sessions online via Zoom or Google Meet, with flexible scheduling across time zones.
