About Harmony
I am a dedicated violin instructor with 8 years of teaching experience and a Licentiate of Music in Violin. My teaching blends the rich traditions of classical music with opportunities for creative expression, helping students develop both technique and artistry.
I focus on core skills such as bowing, vibrato, phrasing, and interpretation, guiding students to bring music to life with confidence and nuance. Lessons are tailored to individual goals, whether mastering repertoire, preparing for ABRSM or Trinity exams, or developing orchestral performance skills.
I emphasize musical understanding alongside technical precision, ensuring that each student can play with both accuracy and expressive depth. Through structured exercises, repertoire selection, and performance coaching, I help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
From beginners to advanced learners, I create a supportive, motivating environment where curiosity and creativity thrive. I also provide guidance on ensemble playing, orchestral techniques, and collaborative performance, fostering well-rounded musicianship.

I believe learning the violin is like telling a story, and every student has their own unique musical journey. Some begin struggling with posture or tension in their arms, while others wrestle with intonation or finding the right tone. I guide students gently, correcting bow hold and posture step by step, turning challenges into confidence-building milestones.
Scales and exercises become more than practice—they become tools to develop discipline, control, and a strong musical foundation. I help students explore expressive dynamics, shaping each phrase to convey emotion and meaning, whether playing softly or with bold intensity.
For students who need structure, I create clear, achievable goals, ensuring steady progress without overwhelming them. Those seeking expressive freedom receive guidance in phrasing, interpretation, and storytelling through music. Together, we tackle difficult passages, celebrate small victories, and build motivation along the way.
I also support accelerated learners, designing exercises and repertoire that challenge their technique and imagination. Lessons are interactive, encouraging questions, experimentation, and personal expression.
