About Reira

I am a final-year Psychology student with over five years of tutoring experience, specializing in private tutoring for K-12 students.

My background in psychology and neuroscience informs the core of my teaching approach. Understanding how memory works, how confidence affects performance, how stress shapes a student's ability to think clearly, and how different people encode and retrieve information equips me to support students from all walks of life.

I care deeply about what education actually is. Not just what it measures, but what it does for a person — how it shapes the way they see themselves, their world, and the people around them. I believe every student deserves access to learning that is intelligent, fair, and genuinely invested in who they are becoming.

I draw from neuroscience and psychology-based techniques to help students achieve their academic goals. At the beginning of each new tutoring partnership, I spend time understanding five things:

1. How your student processes and retains information
2. What their current strengths
3. Where they are most confident
4. What their academic goals are
5. Who they want to grow into beyond education

These five elements establish the foundation for everything that follows. As the student evolves, the approach evolves with them.
Learning skills are woven into every subject I teach. My students see improvements not just in the subjects we work on together, but across all of their academic and personal endeavors. These skills transfer beyond the books and stay with students long after our sessions end.

I hold a Victorian Working with Children Check and am available all year round including school holidays.

About the lesson

I utilize neuroscience and psychology to help students learn in the best way possible, suited to how they best perceive and process information, and perform in life.

In our first lesson, I spend time understanding how they think, where their confidence sits, what their goals are, and who they want to become beyond academics. From there, I share a plan and we agree on a mutually beneficial ongoing arrangement where I support you to become the best version of yourself; in academics and beyond.

All sessions include personalized study notes, a shared planning document, and ongoing email and text support between lessons. I am available online via Google Meet Australia-wide, and in person in Melbourne.

Rates from $60 to $80 per hour.
Concession rates are available upon request.
Term packages are offered with a 15% discount.
