About Somdutta

I’m Somdutta, an educator at heart with over 18 years of experience helping people learn. I hold an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Microbiology, and I’ve spent my career in Learning & Development, training and coaching thousands of learners, from fresh graduates to senior managers, for global companies.

My own journey taught me the most important lesson about learning. I started at the very beginning of my career and grew step by step, and at every stage it was a good teacher, someone who explained things simply and believed in me, who made the difference. That’s the kind of teacher I want to be for you.

Over the years I’ve learned what truly helps people learn: making ideas simple, connecting them to real life, practicing instead of just listening, and building confidence along the way. Tutoring lets me bring all of that to students one-on-one, where I can see the “aha” moment happen.

I’m patient, encouraging and honest. I’ll celebrate your progress, tell you clearly what to work on, and adapt every lesson to how you learn best.

Science has always fascinated me, and I love showing students that biology is something you can see and understand all around you, not just in a textbook.

Biology – About the lesson

Biology isn’t a list of terms to memorize. It’s the story of how life works, and once you see the story, the facts stay with you.

What makes my classes different:

Understanding before memorizing. We start with the “why” using diagrams, real-life examples and simple models, so concepts like cell division or the human body make sense.
Active learning. You’ll explain ideas back, draw processes, solve case-style questions and quiz yourself, not just listen.
Exam-smart practice. I break down how questions are framed and how to write answers that score, with regular short checks so gaps get fixed early.
A plan built for you. After a first session to understand your level and goals, I tailor each lesson to your syllabus (CBSE, ICSE, state board or others) and pace.

Every class ends with a quick recap and one or two simple tasks, so learning continues between lessons. Online, or in person in Pune.

English – About the lesson

Good English isn’t about perfect grammar rules. It’s about expressing yourself clearly and confidently, in class, at work or in everyday life.
