About Zarah
During the lessons, we start from what you need. This could be speaking, writing, grammar, schoolwork, or simply gaining more confidence in Dutch.
We work together on:
- a better understanding of explanations and texts
- more correct speaking and writing
- grammar step by step
- expanding vocabulary
- schoolwork or homework
- preparing for tests or exams
I work calmly, structured, and above all personally. Together we will look for a way of learning that suits you. I see your native language as a strength!
Tutoring is possible

I'm Zarah (23), a sociologist (UGent), and I'm currently completing my master's degree in education. During my internships, I taught in secondary education, including at OKAN and PAV, and worked extensively with students who were still learning Dutch. My guidance there was rated as excellent.
I also have experience with homework and study support for non-Dutch-speaking students, both at school and individually. This means I'm used to building up gradually and finding a way of explaining that suits you.
I see your native language as a strength during learning. Language is a treasure! Dutch gradually adds to that. I also speak some Arabic (A1), which sometimes helps to understand each other more quickly.
For me, learning works best when we can explore, practice, and build together, without stress but with a clear goal.
