About Tarran Singh
Hello! I’m passionate about mathematics and its application to artificial intelligence and machine learning.
My focus is on helping students understand the mathematical foundations behind AI, rather than simply memorising formulae or using software without understanding how it works. I believe that with the right explanations, complex topics can become much more approachable.
I am continually developing my knowledge by studying university-level mathematics, including linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics, with a particular focus on the concepts used in modern AI and machine learning. This allows me to explain not only how mathematical methods work, but also why they are important.
I enjoy breaking difficult ideas into simple, logical steps and adapting lessons to each student’s current level. Whether you’re strengthening your mathematical foundations, preparing for further study, or beginning your journey into AI, I aim to create a supportive learning environment where you can build confidence and develop genuine understanding.

My lessons are designed for students, professionals, and AI enthusiasts who want to understand the mathematics behind artificial intelligence and machine learning. Whether you’re preparing to study AI at university, developing your programming skills, or simply curious about how modern AI works, I aim to make the maths clear and approachable.
I explain concepts step by step, starting from the fundamentals and building towards the mathematics used in machine learning. Rather than asking students to memorise formulae, I focus on helping you understand why each concept works and how it is applied in AI.
Topics can include:
* Linear algebra (vectors, matrices, Gaussian elimination, eigenvalues and eigenvectors)
* Calculus for AI (derivatives, partial derivatives, gradients and optimisation)
* Probability and statistics
* Mathematical foundations of machine learning
* Exam preparation and strengthening core mathematical skills where needed
Lessons are tailored to your current level. If you already have a strong mathematical background, we can move quickly into AI applications. If you’re new to the subject, we’ll build the necessary foundations at a comfortable pace before progressing to more advanced topics.
My goal is to help you develop confidence, solve problems independently, and gain a solid understanding of the mathematics that underpins modern AI systems.
