About Joseph
I am currently a college student slated to graduate in December of 2021 with a degree in Applied Mathematics. I have taken a variety of math classes, ranging from pure, computational, applied, data science and graduate level courses. I have maintained a good GPA and consider myself to be well rounded and relatable.

I typically tutor high school students, and my first approach is to establish a personal relationship in order to not seem like the stereotype. Rather than do their homework or simply do problems while they watch, I act as a guide for problem, referring them back to theorems and asking how they can apply them, etc. The biggest thing I think is important is deriving and proving equations in order to foster mathematical and critical thinking skills.
