About Santiago
I am a double degree student (Programs of Teaching for Philosophy and Letters and Professional in literary studies; the last with emphasis on creation and media) at the UPB. Aspirant as an educator, with the conviction that comprehensive training is necessary to face life more fully and responsibly. I have worked as a private teacher for two years, teaching in-depth and leveling in humanities, redaction, and languages (Spanish and English, for locals and foreigners) to college students and also to university classmates from different areas. I have also been immensely interested in art (I have accompanied and participated in musical ensembles and theater groups, mainly) and in the search for an honest and self-sustaining life, and I believe both searches have enriched what I have to share in the encounter that means teaching.

It is always very important to keep in mind the expectations, interests, and conditions of the different parties involved. In this sense I always try a first conscious approach with the student, or also with the parents when it is with children, to be able to define the basic training guidelines according to the real needs. I always try, to a greater or lesser extent, according to the urgencies of the student, to strengthen basic skills that always lead to greater development in specific areas; In addition, the approach to the subjects of study in an integral way, which allows us to put different experiences and areas of human knowledge and art in conversation is usually a good way to generate significant learning and increasingly solid mental maps. Whenever a more personalized, comprehensive and thorough training process can be carried out, the results often transcend the narrowness of a single area of knowledge.
