About Adam
I was 14 years-old when I first played the guitar - it was a cheap old acoustic that my father bought but never played. Admiring guitarists from some of my favourite bands, it occurred to me: "They learned to do it...so what's stopping me?" I found an old beginners guide to playing guitar and bored myself with the 'Mary Had A Little Lamb' tutorials on the pages, but I learned the notes to each string, how to read tablature and then I sought out my favourite songs. Eventually, I got an electric guitar and spent every day learning to play whatever I could and challenged myself to up my game with each hurdle I overcame. But looking back, the process took a lot longer than necessary, since I was figuring everything out myself by trial and error. Now, I've been playing passionately for over 25 years - rock, blues, metal, acoustic; I'm still challenging myself to this very day. But what I want to do is share what I've learned with aspiring guitarists and help them enjoy the process and challenge themselves along the way.

Being a passionate guitar player, I'm often frustrated by those who talk themselves out of learning to play because the thought of taking on a musical instrument is daunting, intimidating, frustrating or - worst of all - just no fun for the student. So, I've decided to be the tutor I needed in my early years and began my own one-to-one tutorials for anyone who wants to learn to play guitar. My job is to have you LOVE the process, to positively challenge yourself and have one of the most rewarding experiences you can ever have in your life. Let me help you achieve your guitar goals!
