About Davisson
I was born and raised in Brazil. Moved to the U.S. a few years ago with the dream to acquire a bachelor's and master's degrees. I always have problems learning or even expressing myself in Portuguese growing up, and guess what?! That did not stop me from learning different methods and skill that made me overcome my fears of talking, specially in public. I know I am competent enough to teach skills that will improve your speaking, listening, and reading abilities, just like I did in the past.

First, I will introduce you to simple concepts and structure, including the concept of "communicative competence" and its components; teaching contexts; current research on teaching second language skills; and techniques.
Then we will gradually move to an adaptation of modern Portuguese grammar to meet the needs of the higher conversation level, with special emphasis on the development of knowledge and skills that can be used in the analysis of the syntax, and pragmatics of Portuguese.
