About Sofia
I am currently a first-year Ancient History BA undergraduate student at the university of Nottingham able to tutor A level students in Ancient History, Classical Civilisations and AQA History.
I achieved 10 A-A* grades at GCSE. I studied the OCR Classical Civilisations course at A-Level alongside AQA History which is the other subject I tutor students for at this level.
I have been tutoring since 2019 and have tutored numerous A-level students for these subjects, all of whom achieved A's, some of whom achieved A*s!
I take a differentiated learning approach to my tutoring, with each student having a consultation call (over zoom or telephone) to determine strengths and weaknesses, and to establish a tailored plan to suit the student's needs.

Tailored tutoring styles for the student's individual needs in either hour long (recommended) or two hour long sessions (with a 10 minute break). I am also able to offer half hour sessions to students already learning with me to cover quick-fire content questions or to go over tests.
I am able to offer past-paper assistance and advice on the exam and research techniques to achieve an A/A* (including advice on the use and collection of secondary scholarship which is a very important independent research based part of this qualification) alongside helping the student understand and effectively revise subject content.
I am able to tutor all A-level and GCSE students studying this subject, and offer a free consultation call with either the parent or student in order to assess their needs and plan their teaching.
I am also able to help prepare prospective Ancient History undergraduates for university with some more advanced content and food for thought!
