About Georgina
For English, we may choose to look through the text in order to annotate and analyse the areas of importance and what is believed to be significant to the student; anything can be significant as long as it is executed efficiently. What is most important is that the student is familiar with the text and holds a deep level of understanding in the areas that are applicable to a variety of themes. We may also look at essay questions (either set for homework or found by me) and begin to plan the essay in order to gain an understanding of how to shape ideas and analysis to the question. Planning is very important in A Level English, so I will ensure to teach the most efficient and easy style of planning that works with all essays. Along with this, lessons may also hold an element of essay writing for practice and in order to improve writing style. This will not only allow the essay to be read easily and ensure greater marks, but also facilitates the writing of the essay.

In my lessons we can explore different areas of literature and writing to fit your needs. This includes going through texts to get a deeper level of understanding with various interpretations and analysis ready to be put into use. Following this, we would complete multiple essay plans and essays in order to familiarise and gain confidence with the process. Essay writing would be an important area in order to enhance writing style to a high level, enabling a clear and throughout understanding to the reader as well as facilitating the writing process itself whilst maintaining a high level. Each area of study will be completed in a manner that provides a great level of revision resources to be used come exam time. Lessons would be flexible to fit the needed area of improvement of the student with the direction of their choice.
