About Ryan
My name is Ryan. I am 17 years old and have wanted to teach for a long time. I may be considered young as a tutor, and to that I will agree. However, despite my age, I have been able to effectively teach/ help out many students in schools through work experience and volunteered tutoring. With my students, my primary aim is always for them to have confidence in what they do; then we can build on the confidence to increase skills and abilities in different aspects . Whilst I will teach you and help you improve, I will act as a friend at the same time so that you always feel comfortable during our lessons. Finally, at the start of our lessons together, we will work together to set and aim for the session or a period of sessions so you can see your progress in the end.

My lessons would revolve around you as a student and what is useful for you. I will always try and make lessons as fun as I can whilst still accurately delivering information in a semi-structured format. I will never be angry at you making mistakes- after all, I still make mistakes and so do French natives! Lessons will be around 1 hour in length but this can vary if, for example, you don't have much time; or if an extension is needed if you have an exam coming up. I have tutored French speaking before for someone who has now gone from not speaking to just finishing their GCSES and answering all questions; I have also done 3 rounds of work experience in schools at different levels in French content- moreover, people who I've tutored for other subjects say I did a brilliant job and, in French, I achieved the top grade at GCSE. My lessons would be primarily aimed at GCSE students (years 10 & 11) but I am more than happy to tutor anyone who feels they need help in the language- even if it isn't for an exam! :)
