I will start where you are at and work with you on increasing your proficiency. I begin each lesson with a review of previously covered material, model the concepts, guide you in your practice of the newly learned skill, and then review concepts covered. We will use simple manipulatives to learn concepts. Counting on your fingers is OK! Whatever you need to do to get to the answer is OK!

Details
I grew up thinking that I was bad at math. I struggled with it until I took a pre algebra class in college. The professor was amazing and taught me that math is not something to struggle with, but the key was to learn the tips and tricks of solving a problem. When it became more like a game, my math anxiety decreased to the point where I now love teaching math.
