About Kellen
I am an enthusiastic and dedicated mathematics tutor currently on a gap year before reading Mathematics at university. Having recently achieved an A* in A-Level Mathematics, an A* in Further Mathematics, and an A in Physics, alongside Grade 9s at GCSE, I have an in-depth, firsthand grasp of what exam boards look for.
I genuinely enjoy problem-solving and sharing that passion with others. Because I have just navigated the current exam cycle myself, I can relate directly to the challenges students face and know the exact revision techniques and question strategies that lead to top grades.
Outside of academics, I am a committed musician performing at a national level and an active sports enthusiast. These commitments have taught me discipline, patience, and clear communication—qualities I bring directly into my tutoring sessions. I am approachable, patient, and focused on creating an encouraging environment where students feel confident asking questions and working through difficult problems.

I offer structured, engaging online and in-person maths tuition for GCSE, A-Level Maths, and Further Maths students of all abilities. Having recently completed my A-Levels with top grades (A* in Maths, A* in Further Maths, and A in Physics), I have an up-to-date understanding of the current exam specifications, mark schemes, and common stumbling blocks.
My teaching focuses on building a deep conceptual understanding rather than simple rote memorisation. Lessons are tailored to each student's individual pace, breaking down complex topics—such as calculus, algebraic manipulation, and mechanics—into clear, intuitive steps.
A typical 60-minute session consists of:
• Reviewing core concepts and clarifying difficult theory.
• Working through progressively challenging exam-style questions together.
• Guided independent practice to build confidence and refine exam technique.
• Dedicated review of past-paper mark schemes to maximise marks in exam conditions.
