About Monika
I have always been tutored and from young age I’ve always been good in English hence I also chose it for my A-levels. Last year since I had finish my GCSEs I had taken the opportunity to use my knowledge and help other students. So my previous tution that I went to for my maths, my tutor gave me a job to teach students English. During that time I taught English to year 3/4/5/6/9/10/11. I decided to teach English as it is my strength and I’m studying English as one of my A-levels as I would like to be a lawyer. I found my own strategies and other useful strategies and used them to my knowledge to gain more marks. Every student has their own way of understanding and I had experienced that. By knowing that it will allow me to identify and help with the students weakness.

When it comes to learning English there are different strategies to teach. In the UK you have KS2 for year 6 SATS and you have GCSE English literature and language. When I teach GCSE English Lit I had strategised a technique to ensure that the students knew what to look for and what to specifically use when they need to write.
My typical length of a lesson may be 1or 2 hours.
I have experienced of being an English tutor where I have taught students from year 3 to year 11 and this has allowed me to see that every student has their own capabilities. For my GCSES I got 1 grade 8 and 1 grade 9 so I have achieved two A* in my English GCSEs.
I will be able to teach year 6 students in preparation for their SATS and GCSE students from year 10/11.
