About Carrie
I am a prospective English Literature student in her gap year with a predicted A* in English Literature A Level and two level 9 grades at GCSE. I was employed by my school to tutor children in Year 7 and Year 9 for 6 months, until I had to quit because I could not balance the academic work. I enjoyed tutoring, I found it to be a skill I'd like to continue to develop, and so I wanted to utilise websites like this to tutor more.

I prefer to approach concepts in English Literature by first looking at passages which illustrate the concept, and then through a series of questions and answers helping the tutee to arrive at the correct conclusion. This is more interactive and helps people to remember their learning through using different mental processes. I also believe firmly that the application of learning is often the barrier to achieving higher grades, and so I like to focus on exam writing practise too.
