About Beth
I am an A level student achieving straight As in English Literature, Geography and Music. I am a part of the peer tutor programme at John Taylor High School, and have been for just under a year, helping GCSE students to achieve their academic aspirations. I believe in learning by visual aid and auditory explanation, and I feel that having fairly recently completed by GCSEs in comparison to most tutors, I have a more in depth understanding of the new exam syllabus, and have empathy for the stress put on students. Having achieved extremely high grades in my own GCSE exams, I know exactly what it takes to succeed, and I have the right knowledge to help others do so. I am also a House Team Leader at John Taylor High School, which gives me the responsibility of all students within my House at the school, from years 7-11. I believe this gives me an understanding of how to get through to each and every student. My younger age helps me to relate to my students, and I firmly believe I continue to create a welcoming, fun environment, that also helps every student succeed to the best of their ability at every academic level.

I base my classes on visual aid and auditory learning. This is the way in which i succeeded my high grades in secondary school, and I firmly believe it is universally effective. In my opinion, it creates a fun working environment, that still allows knowledge and information to be embedded in their brains.
