About Lily
My name is Lily, I’m a 16 year old student at New College Pontefract, studying law, criminology and music. I want to teach English because at school I loved it and found so many fun effective revision methods which helped me massively engage in revision and do it often. I want to help others find the perfect revision methods for them and for them to enjoy the subject. I think English is a great subject because it is creative and is always open to any ideas so it really gives people the opportunity to express their opinion through writing and really test their minds.

Hiring a tutor is a highly effective way to engage and enjoy learning. Having someone to motivate you pushes you to focus and having the routine of tutoring increases your memory to help with exams. Even if you don’t struggle with the specific subject, if you struggle to focus on revision, having a tutor is a great way to get those revision sessions in. If you are struggling in the subject, having a tutor will help you focus and remember the information in a unique lesson plan that I will create for you. This will be consistent and become part of your routine, which pushes your learning in the right direction. I will also provide you with tasks to complete independently that I will review each time. You can contact me directly if you have any questions and I will be reviewing these tasks at the beginning of each lesson. This will keep that routine ongoing to maximise learning.
