About Rhys
Hi, I’m Rhys, a native English speaker from the UK and a qualified TEFL teacher. I enjoy helping people become more confident using English and I particularly like working with learners who want lessons to feel relaxed, practical and relevant to their own lives.
I’m also a language learner myself, studying Spanish and Italian, so I understand how difficult it can be to speak confidently, make mistakes and keep progressing.
Outside of teaching, my interests include music, philosophy, history, mythology, chess, travel and fitness.

I hold a Level 5 TEFL qualification and have completed 200 hours of training in grammar, teaching methodology and online teaching.
My lessons are relaxed, communicative and adapted to the individual learner. I aim to understand your level, interests, goals and learning style, then build lessons around the areas that will help you most, whether that is speaking confidence, grammar, pronunciation or general fluency.
I am also a language learner myself and regularly take one-to-one Spanish lessons online, so I understand the challenges of learning from the student’s perspective.
