About Nanako
〈About Me〉 Hello! My name is Nanako. Thank you for visiting my profile! I'm from Fukuoka, Japan, and I currently work as a tour guide at a Japanese language school. I guide international students from around 20 countries across Europe, North America, Australia, the Middle East and Asia, introducing them to Japanese culture, sightseeing spots and everyday life in Japan. I often guide cultural experiences such as Japanese taiko drumming, samurai sword demonstrations, kimono and calligraphy. I love sharing the beauty of Japanese culture with people from around the world. I also practice Japanese tea ceremony, so I enjoy talking about Japanese traditions, hospitality, seasonal events and manners. People often tell me that I'm easy to talk to and a good listener. I genuinely enjoy hearing about people's lives, experiences and cultures, so I'd love to hear your story too! ● Languages I'm currently studying English, and I studied French at university. I know from my own experience that learning a language can be challenging, but also incredibly rewarding. Being able to have a conversation with someone in their language or make a new friend is such a wonderful feeling! ●Studying Abroad & Traveling I have studied abroad in Belgium, Canada and the Philippines. I have also traveled to more than 10 countries and have enjoyed discovering different cultures, meeting people from around the world and seeing beautiful places. Where would you like to visit someday? ● Japanese Anime, Drama & Movies I love Demon Slayer! If you have a favorite anime, drama or movie, please tell me about it. I'd love to discover something new from you too! ●My Previous Career Before becoming a tour guide, I worked for a cosmetics company. I have experience in beauty, makeup, fashion and kimono, and I enjoy talking about Japanese and Asian beauty and fashion. In my previous job, I always focused on listening carefully to each customer and understanding their individual needs. I hope to bring the same approach to my Japanese lessons and create a comfortable learning experience for each student. ● Let's Get to Know Each Other! I'd love to hear about you too! Have you recently started something new? Is there something you'd like to try or a dream you'd like to achieve? Tell me about yourself during our lessons. I'm looking forward to meeting you! See you in a trial lesson.

I met her when she studied English in the Philippines. She is enthusiastic and passionate about her craft, and she is extremely diligent and hardworking. She used to study English intensively in class and at home. Her work ethics are commendable. She speaks softly, but clearly. She listens wholeheartedly, attentively, and most importantly patiently. These traits are well-fitting for a teacher. These qualities would make her a great teacher. She loves language and has a keen interest in teaching the Japanese language and sharing her culture. Her enthusiasm is contagious and would work well with helping students love learning Japanese.
I have known her for about two years, and throughout that time, I have been consistently impressed by how hardworking and dedicated she is. She is genuinely one of the hardest-working people I know, especially when it comes to achieving her goals and improving her English. She puts in a lot of effort every day and is always looking for ways to learn and grow.
As a Japanese teacher, she is excellent at explaining things clearly and patiently. She always puts her students first and makes sure they understand the material, no matter how much explanation or support they need. Her friendly and gentle personality also makes her very easy to talk to, which I believe is one of her greatest strengths as a teacher.
She also has experience studying abroad, having spent in the Philippines studying English. Despite being immersed in an English-speaking environment, she adapted very easily and was able to communicate and learn effectively. Her willingness to challenge herself and seriously work on her English is something I really respect.
She is passionate about learning languages. English is something she takes particularly seriously, and she also studied French in college. Her interest in languages has given her a genuine appreciation for communicating with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
She also has a strong knowledge and appreciation of Japanese culture. I particularly admire her understanding of the gentleness and elegance that are part of Japanese culture, and she is even studying tea ceremony. Whenever I have a question about Japanese language or culture, she never hesitates to help me and explain things clearly.
Above all, what stands out to me is her combination of kindness, patience, and dedication. She genuinely cares about the people she teaches and wants them to succeed. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a friendly, patient, hardworking, and passionate Japanese teacher. I believe she would be a wonderful teacher and a great person to learn from.Miss Tsutsumi is an amazing teacher. She is always attentive to our needs as students. She has extensive knowledge of Japanese and also speaks fluent English, which facilitates interaction with her students. Her classes are very enjoyable because she uses many resources, making learning easier. I recommend Miss Tsutsumi 100%.
