About Sidra
I am a pre-law liberal arts college student majoring in psychology at the University of Houston. I am very proficient in math and enjoy disciplines like public speaking and philosophy. My passion for passing off knowledge has trickled down into the art of teaching. In my free time, I like to spend time with friends, go to the gym, or read novels.

As a tutor, my approach focuses on fostering deep understanding and critical thinking rather than rote memorization. I adapt to the student's learning style, whether it's visual, auditory, or kinesthetic, to make the material more accessible and engaging. I use a holistic approach to tailor the material to the student's needs, ensuring that they achieve maximum comprehension of coursework.
Subjects taught-
Mathematics: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus I
A Typical Lesson Plan-
Warm-Up (5-10 minutes): I start with a brief review of the previous session or a quick quiz to gauge the student’s retention. I might also ask questions to find out what the student finds challenging.
Core Lesson (30-40 minutes): I introduce new material, ensuring I connect it to what the student already knows. This section may include demonstrations, diagrams, or interactive activities, depending on the subject.
Practice (15-20 minutes): Students work on practice problems or projects related to the lesson's core material. I guide them through any difficulties and encourage self-correction.
Review and Q&A (5-10 minutes): We go over key points from the lesson and address any lingering questions. I also outline expectations for the next session and may provide additional resources or assignments for practice.
