About Olivia
I am a licensed elementary educator with five years of classroom teaching experience and both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education from the University of Tennessee. After teaching first grade, I transitioned into private tutoring so I could provide students with more individualized, one-on-one instruction.
My classroom experience has given me a strong understanding of early childhood development, foundational literacy, phonics, reading comprehension, writing, and elementary math. I’m experienced in identifying learning gaps, adapting instruction, and finding approaches that work for each individual child.
Most importantly, I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged, and confident. I love building relationships with my students and creating an environment where mistakes are part of learning and progress is celebrated!

My lessons are designed to meet each child exactly where they are while building both skills and confidence. I specialize in K-3 reading, phonics, writing, and math, with lessons tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style.
I use engaging, hands-on activities, targeted skill practice, and ongoing assessment to identify gaps and build a strong academic foundation. Whether your child needs extra support, enrichment, kindergarten readiness, or help strengthening foundational skills, I create personalized lessons that keep learning positive, structured, and encouraging.
My goal is for students to leave each session feeling successful, confident, and excited about what they can do!
