About Maya
As a licensed English teacher with a Master’s in Education and years of classroom experience, I bring both expertise and empathy to every tutoring session. I’ve taught in diverse, multilingual classrooms across Boston, working with English Language Learners, special education students, and general education students in grades 5–12. My teaching style is patient, structured, and personalized. I take time to understand each student’s needs, goals, and learning style, and I design lessons that build skills step by step—whether in reading comprehension, academic writing, grammar, or conversational English. I’m fluent in Spanish and Polish, which helps me connect with multilingual students and support their learning in a welcoming and inclusive way.
