Hello, I’m Jamica Velasquez, a dedicated and experienced ESL teacher with several years of online and classroom teaching experience. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in BTTE and have worked with learners from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. As an experienced ESL teacher, I use a student-centered and communicative approach in my classes. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, confident, and actively involved in the lesson. I focus on improving speaking fluency, pronunciation, grammar accuracy, and vocabulary through guided conversation, interactive activities, and real-life scenarios.
I adapt my teaching techniques depending on the student’s level and goals. For young learners, I use visuals, games, repetition, and simple structured practice to keep lessons engaging and fun. For teens and adults, I integrate role-plays, discussion questions, reading materials, and practical exercises such as Business English conversations or daily communication practice.
A typical lesson lasts 25 to 50 minutes, depending on the student’s preference and learning needs. Each session includes a warm-up, lesson proper with guided practice, and feedback to track progress.
I am a BTTE graduate with several years of online and offline ESL teaching experience. I have worked with beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners from different age groups — including children, teenagers, university students, and working professionals.
