About Adrina
I’m currently a first-year Life Science student at UofT and I graduated high school with a 97% average, so I understand both the academic expectations and the challenges students face. I have experience tutoring students and friends in different grades, with different learning styles and paces, so I know when and how to adjust learning to better fit each student. I am a very patient, friendly, and non-judgmental person, and I believe there is no such thing as a “dumb question”. I aim to form real connections with students and create a safe and respectful learning environment that will make students feel supported and understood. Above all, I am always more invested in a student's progress, not just going through the material, and I believe that learning can and should be fun, so let's have fun!!

My goal is to help students feel more confident in their classes, improve their grades, and realize they’re capable of much more than they think.
I take a supportive, student-centred approach to tutoring, as I focus more on helping students fully understand concepts rather than just memorizing formulas and cramming answers. I explain concepts step-by-step in a clear way while always ensuring to adjust my teaching style to match each student’s learning pace and preferred learning styles.
A typical lesson would start with reviewing important key ideas, followed by guided practice problems, and then independent questions where I provide feedback and tips if needed but always urge students to try questions out on their own.
What sets me apart is my patience, strong academic background, and ability to break down topics in a way that feels manageable and stress-free. I always aim to use practical methods that have helped me - and continue to help me - succeed academically.
My lessons are best suited for middle school and high school students looking for help with math and science, exam preparation and homework support.
