About Lyndsay
I am a social worker, Educational Assistant, Direct Support Professional. For over 20 years I have supported children & adults with disabilities in learning & mastering life skills, cooking skills, bread-baking, desserts. I enjoy teaching people new skills in the kitchen and sharing in their achievements.

I tailor my classes to the personal styles of my students by getting to know areas of interest, current/previous knowledge & experiences, and skill level. I then research recipes that fit the students in these areas, include students in as much of the process as possible so they are equipped to then use their new skills independently. I assess student progress and limitations throughout my lesson and adapt my teaching style and student involvement accordingly.
