About Mathilde
I grew up as a gymnast and went on to become Valedictorian of my high school class in Minnesota. After graduating from Rice University with a BA in Linguistics and a boat load of education, I realized my true calling was in discovering the truth and empowering others to do the same. Through a yoga class my senior year of college, I found access to my intuition which guided me on the path to become a yoga teacher. Since then, I managed and taught at Yoga Works in Houston, TX for several years and then moved to LA in 2018 where I have managed a kids yoga studio and now attend graduate school full-time at Loyola Marymount University where I am earning an MA in Yoga Studies. In this program, I am studying Sanskrit and the ancient texts of yoga with a lens towards
modern day applications blending Eastern and Western frameworks.

My teaching method is hands-on and conceptual. I like to use metaphors and visualization to explain various concepts. I believe that a good question is more valuable than a perfect answer and that students are empowered to guide the conversation.
