About Briana
I am a linguist who has studied French for 10 years and been tutoring foreign language for nearly as long (8 years). I directly matriculated at the Sorbonne in Paris where I studied subjects such as Roman History, the History of Indo-European Languages, and Ancient Greek (in French). Furthermore, I have studied French literature (e.g. Zola, Camus, Proust, Villiers d'isle Adam, Colette, Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Verlaine) at the university level. In addition to academic and literary French, I am very comfortable with conversational and quotidien French.

I tailor my teaching to what is most useful to the student. Rather than just focusing on strict memorization, I am interested in helping students understand the way language works to help them better apply the knowledge they have. A successful tutor will match the students learning style with what the student needs to learn, streamlining useful information. It is imperative that a tutor understand why the student is interested in the subject, and what a student wants to get out of their time with said tutor.
