About Maria
I am an experienced qualified Spanish and English language teacher. I studied my CELTA course in Oxford and my ELE (Spanish as a second language) in Bilbao, Spain in 2013. I am a positive and enthusiastic teacher who has never given up on any student I have ever had because I believe everyone can learn and achieve their aims when learning.
I have been teaching different ages, from 5 year olds to A-level conversational classes to adults that needed Spanish for work or travelling.
In the last 2 years, at the same time as studying my Linguistics degree at MMU, I have been teaching English to refugees to prepare them for their IELTS exam to be able to go back to university or to their old careers.
In the summers, I have been teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) to students around the world who would like to go into a masters in September, a course based on building skills quickly through marking their work every day and guiding them through the English Higher education system.

My lessons are dynamic, with a speaking approach so that my students can see how much they have learnt in every class by producing the new vocabulary or grammar. They are also personalised as each student learns in a different way so I like to know how my students would like to learn, and create each lesson so that the classes are useful for each student.
In my classes there are no mistakes, there's only tries in order to learn. As a language learner myself I feel that an open and comfortable environment is needed when you learn a language so that there is no fear to say anything or to ask anything. Trying is a good sign of interest and willing to improve, so speaking and asking will always be encouraged in my lessons.

Details
1st option:
This is a course designed for 10 hours which entails 9h of teaching and 1h of marking your work. This should be 2h/week that could be done in two different days or on the same day, plus one week when you choose that we could do one extra hour on any of the skills you choose.
2nd option:
If 5 hours is prefered, this could be a quicker course where all the skills can be done in less depth or if you would like to focus on two different skills this could be arranged as well and make the course tailored to 1 skill or 2.
In this option, 4.5h would be taught lessons and 30 minutes would be marking.
1st option is £160
2nd option is £85
