About Diana
I am a 3rd-year linguistics student at New York University, born and raised in New Jersey. I am Mexican America, having been born in the US with two Mexican Parents. I love sports, (soccer especially) and also enjoy playing video games. One of the reasons I began tutoring ESL is because of my own difficulty learning English when I was younger. My goal is for students to overcome any fears of speaking English. I want them to be comfortable when they speak and be able to easily join any conversation with friends in school, and even at home.

I believe that the best way to learn English is through conversation and interaction. A typical lesson plan involves reading, in order to recognize vocabulary words, as well as basic conversation. As an experienced tutor, I have learned that while it may be frustrating to learn a new language, with patience and practice, it is amazing how fast a person can pick it up. Lessons are geared for native Spanish speakers looking to speak English.
La mejor manera de aprender inglés es a través de la conversación y la interacción. Un plan de lección típico implica la lectura, para reconocer las palabras del vocabulario, así como la conversación básica. Como tutora con experiencia, he aprendido queue aunque puede ser frustrante aprender un nuevo idioma, con paciencia y práctica, es asombroso lo rápido que una persona puede aprenderlo.
