About Annika
I have played music for as long as I can remember and have always had the dream to become a performer. I initially taught myself how to play the piano and guitar when I was about 7 years old and picked up lessons from there.
While I worked as an Au Pair in Western Australia in 2015/16, I got introduced to a small music school I instantly fell in love with! Not a lot of time passed until I started working as one of their music teachers.
I ended up being part of the team for 3 years while studying Early Childhood - While working in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector for 2 years, I started to build something of my own through private tutoring in piano, guitar and vocals.
That side project eventually turned into a full-time job and I have now worked for myself for the past 6 years. I have never loved a job more!
I studied in the Bachelor of Music at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts as a contemporary vocalist for 2 years and am now living my dream life! I would love to share my passion for music with you and can’t wait to be part of your journey.

Lessons with me can either be 30 minutes or 45 minutes long - this will depend on your skill level and what you would like to do.
I believe that following your dreams is most important! In our lessons, we will choose songs that you would like to be able to play with achievable goals to get there. Lessons will be a mix of music theory, technical exercises and repertoire that we select based on your wishes. In our first session, I want to get to know you and your goals so we can work out the perfect plan for you.
For the past 2 years I have studied a Bachelor of Music with a focus on contemporary music at WAAPA (ECU, Western Australia). I love what I do and can't wait to share my knowledge and passion with you!
