About David
I am an internationally active artist originally from Canada, with roots in both Canada and the United States, and am currently based in London. Before beginning my MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art, I lived and worked in Berlin, Germany. I hold a BFA from OCAD University and have completed numerous artist residencies and teaching engagements across the UK, Europe, and North America. My approach is professional, thoughtful, and grounded in contemporary studio practice.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and interests, whether you are a beginner, art school student, or practising artist. I focus on painting and drawing through conversation, observation, and making, helping students develop confidence, technical skill, and a personal visual language. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and can include practical exercises, critique, portfolio development, or application support. I am a London-based artist currently completing an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art, with extensive international residency and teaching experience. I work with teenagers, university students, and adults at all levels.
