About Davion
I started playing music in 2004, I taught myself drums and piano from a young age and grew up playing in church. I eventually taught myself guitar, bass and learned how to run Front of House. I started learning recording shortly after college and it lead to me eventually learning production. I had worked as an audio enginner and at guitar center in 2015. I got my first production gig later that year for a weekly children's program. I switched to Ableton Live as my main DAW in 2016 to use for that gig and then started teaching and doing technical support.
I was later the Hi-Tech instructor at Sam Ash Music and the Senior Manager. I have product certifications for Ilio (Omnisphere, Keyscape, etc.) and it's my main hi-end collection of VST instruments. I still produce, engineer and teach to this day and have ongoing projects both personal and with clients.
I am also in school currently learning Commercial Music Composition in hopes of producing content for Film/Tv/Video Games in the future.

My approach is to help the student learn Live as if it was another instrument not just a DAW. I have found over years of teaching and offering technical support that Ableton Live is the most flexible DAW with endless possibilities and tricks that have been built upon since version 1.0.
My goal first is to work with the student/client to give them an understanding to all the tools Ableton has available to it; building from a foundation of critical production and recording techniques. Typically lessons will start with an ongoing project we will build upon (ie single, EP, live show)
Then we work on creating dynamic workflows for the available gear, plugins and end goals. An example might be that a client might want to use Live onstage for playback, or a student wants to produce quality EDM tracks. Different end goals require different approaches and techniques.
Incorporating music theory or addition instrument lessons can also be available.
From there lessons will be open to share tips/tricks, pursue a new end goal, or tackle more advance features (MAX for Live)
