About Rita
I am an education professional with over 15 years experience teaching, and extensive French language skills. I studied French through GSCE-equivalent level in the United States, and became fluent while living and working in Paris after university. I continue to use French regularly through frequent travel to and contact with family in Montreal.

Depending on the student's needs and preference, lessons can be based on the student's coursework, supplementary exercises, or a combination of both. In an initial session, I gauge the student's current level and discuss areas they would especially like to strengthen: reading, writing, speaking, and/or listening.
Lessons may then incorporate recorded audio for comprehension, reading selections, and direct conversational practice. Sentence-based written practice is added in to target grammatical concepts, verb tenses, or other areas for special improvement.
I love to incorporate students' interests and goals for travel or work into lesson plans, so that each student grows into a stronger French communicator about the subjects that matter to them.
